In 2011 three guys named Mitch Altman, Andie Nordgren and Jeff Keyzer, published a wonderful comic book titled "Soldering is easy - Here's How to Do It".
The seven-page book is open source released under
a Creative Commons license which allows you to download it freely, use it to teach, color it, modify it, translate it, copy it and, guess what ... you are even free to use it to learn to solder.
The book is in English and has currently been translated into 21 languages.
